Community invited to celebrate groundbreaking of SCC’s new Health Sciences Building

Designed by JFK Architecture, the new Health Sciences building design concept. 

Sampson Community College (SCC) proudly invites the community to the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Health Sciences building on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be hosted on west campus, where the new building will be constructed.

Purposefully designed for healthcare education, this state-of-the-art facility will serve future SCC students for years to come. Built through intentional planning and collaboration with our health sciences faculty, the project stands as a direct reflection of SCC’s mission to provide accessible, affordable education and workforce training through innovative, effective teaching.

Join community leaders, healthcare partners, elected officials, faculty, staff, students and supporters as they break ground on a facility that will expand educational opportunities and strengthen the healthcare workforce for generations to come.
