Fayetteville residents are invited to come together with their neighbors Tuesday, Aug. 4, for National Night Out, an annual celebration focused on building stronger neighborhoods and strengthening relationships between the community and law enforcement.
Local organizations, neighborhood leaders and Community Watch groups can get involved by hosting an event in their community. Whether it is a cookout, block party or neighborhood gathering, National Night Out is a great opportunity to meet neighbors, connect with members of the Fayetteville Police Department and show support for a safer Fayetteville.
Organizations interested in hosting an event must register with the Fayetteville Police Department by Sunday, July 26. Contact the Crime Prevention Specialist for your police district to register:

“National Night Out is one of our favorite outreach events because it gives our officers an opportunity to connect with residents in their own neighborhoods,” Fayetteville Police Chief Roberto E. Bryan Jr. said. “Building trust and bridging gaps are important to the work we do, and these conversations help us better understand and serve our community.”
Not hosting an event? Residents are encouraged to find a celebration nearby and join the fun. Those unable to attend can still participate by turning on their porch lights and taking a few moments to connect with their neighbors.
