FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, a nationally recognized brand, is now serving patients in the greater Fayetteville area from a newly opened office located at 150 Francam Dr., Suite 124 Fayetteville, NC 28311.

The Fayetteville location is owned and operated by Genny and Chad Furne. Genny just retired from the military in July of this year and Chad is still on active duty. As she transitioned out of the military, Genny began to brainstorm what her next chapter would look like.

With a masters degree in entrepreneurship and a dream to own her own business, Genny considered opportunities that would allow her to put her entrepreneurial skills to work while also providing a service that she was passionate about to the community. Having served in the military for 26 years, Genny disclosed that she had utilized physical therapy services at various times in her life and was very grateful to the doctors that had helped her when she needed it.

“My biggest excitement is to be able to provide to the community the same services I once received that helped me feel so much better about my health,” remarked Genny.

After looking into a number of franchise opportunities, Genny and her husband decided that FYZICAL was a great match for their goals.

“What I love about it is they give you the name, they give you tools, they give you all that, but it’s still your store,” shared Genny.

FYZICAL offers a range of services including:

  • Balance therapy
  • Orthopedic therapy
  • Sport medicine
  • Neurological rehab
  • Manual therapy
  • Vestibular rehab

Dr. Jamie Clapp is currently serving patients at the newly opened clinic. She has been a physical therapist for about 12 years and has spent the better half of that working in pain management.

“I'm hoping to help them develop a strong clinic that will meet the needs of the community and be a leader in the area,” remarked Dr. Clapp.

Individuals interested in one or more of the services provided by FYZICAL can request an appointment online, call or visit the store in person during business hours. FYZICAL accepts most major insurances. Additionally they are a bilingual practice, offering care to patients in both English and Spanish.

They are looking to hire a full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy and would love to find someone who specializes in neurology.

Genny shared that they are scheduled to build three more FYZICAL locations in Fayetteville for a total of four in the area. She and her husband will be the owners and operators of these additional locations as well.
