Fall Farm Day is coming up at the Veteran’s Farm of NC this Saturday, Oct. 21 from 2 to 8 p.m. This event is to raise funds for the farm and showcase how far they’ve come since opening.

There will be lots of food, a farmer-brewer-veteran collaboration of a local beer made with local veteran-produced honey, tons of things for sale, games, livestock games, live music and much more. Don’t miss the chance to test your pitching arm and dunk Executive Director Robert Hosford in the dunk tank too.

Admission is $5 and kids under five get in free.

Find more details about the event online at www.https://vfnc.org/events/

According to their website, the Veteran’s Farm of NC is a farm designed and dedicated to returning service members and Veterans of all eras to educate on all aspects of agriculture.

VFNC helps them learn through on-farm production models of sustainable livestock production and organic vegetable production. Other mentorship opportunities with conventional farms are utilized for specialized interests for veterans wishing to learn about other avenues of farm production models.
