According to figures released by Visit North Carolina last week, travel to Cumberland County generated over $682.60 million in expenditure in 2025.
Tourism expenditures in Cumberland County generated state and local tax revenues of $46.47 million, which represents a $136.39 tax savings to each county resident. Additionally, Cumberland County’s tourism industry employs 4,786 people with a payroll of $176.59 million.
“Tourism remains a key factor in supporting and strengthening Cumberland County's local economy,” said Fayetteville Area CVB President and CEO Michelle Williams in a press release.
