Why You & Your Company Should Attend the MBB Warfighter Symposium

Sponsored Content provided by Justin Dues , North Carolina Military Business Center

The Medical, Biomedical & Biodefense: Support to the Warfighter Symposium (MBB Symposium) is set to convene on September 24–25, 2025, at the University of North Carolina’s Friday Center in Chapel Hill. Attendees will benefit from formal briefings, direct engagement with agencies, and informal networking sessions with buyers, users, and fellow industry professionals. This event is geared toward existing businesses that are already registered to do business with the federal government and those that attend will gain competitive advantage by developing relationships with key government/industry decision makers and by obtaining government business forecasts. These interactions can lead to partnerships, collaborations, and a deeper understanding of the challenges and needs within the military medical community and a better understanding of the procurement process. Exhibiting or viewing demonstrations of the latest medical technologies designed to support America's warfighters further enhances these opportunities. Hosted by the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC), in collaboration with the Offices of U.S. Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd, the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, this event is a pivotal gathering for businesses aiming to engage with federal agencies and military organizations in the medical and defense sectors.

Strategic Engagement & Briefings with Federal Agencies

Our unique platform offers companies a chance to connect directly with representatives from the Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and Health and Human Services. These agencies, along with their prime vendors and major contractors, will discuss current technology gaps, future requirements, and procurement processes related to medical supplies, equipment, devices, staffing, pharmaceuticals, medical information technology, and services. This direct engagement provides businesses with invaluable insights into federal needs and contracting opportunities. Participants will have access to briefings on military requirements, procurement processes, and supplier qualifications. These sessions are designed to equip businesses with the knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of federal contracting and to position themselves as competitive suppliers in the defense medical market.

How You and the NCMBC supports NC Defense Innovation

NCMBC's mission is to leverage military and other federal business opportunities to expand the economy, grow jobs, and improve the quality of life in North Carolina. By attending the MBB Symposium, local businesses can align themselves with this mission, gaining access to resources and support aimed at increasing federal revenues for businesses in the state. The MBB event emphasizes the importance of dialogue between industry, academia-based technology innovators, and military and government officials and is considered an essential event for medical, biomedical, and biodefense businesses. This focus aims to address the current and future needs of the military and the nation, fostering innovation and the development of cutting-edge solutions that contribute to the health and readiness of the nation's warfighters.
