The Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is the City’s Complimentary Concierge Service

Sponsored Content provided by Randy Fiveash - INTERIM PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, DistiNCtly Fayetteville

Our mission at the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is to promote all that Fayetteville and Cumberland County have to offer, from meeting and conferences venues to sports and leisure activities, to the exquisite restaurants and attractive hotels that welcome visitors to our city.

According to recent figures released by Visit North Carolina, domestic tourism to Cumberland County generated an economic impact of $608.85 million in 2021, which represents a 35.3 percent increase over COVID-impacted 2020 and an increase of $7 million over 2019. Fayetteville and the surrounding areas are growing by leaps and bounds and we at the Convention and Visitors Bureau enjoy showcasing the unique features of our area and helping to boost local economic growth.

Consider the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to be your business’ or organization’s free concierge service that saves you time and takes the stress out of event planning. If you are a meeting planner for a business or a member of an organization who is planning a meeting or other large group event, our full-service sales department serves as a one-stop shop to support your event planning.

Our sales team consists of three members who specialize in supporting companies and organizations that are planning different types of events. So whether you are part of a religious, sports, educational, community, or professional organization, our sales team is happy to handle much of the initial legwork involved with planning your event. We can also help with family reunion planning!

We specialize in searching for meeting space and hotels with availability and price points that meet your preferences. Our staff will narrow down the choices for you and present a short list of the best venue and accommodation options based on the amenities you’re seeking, free of charge. We will even help you set up a time to tour your top choices for properties.

Aside from helping plan your next group event, we also enjoy informing visitors about the exciting entertainment, recreation, and dining options our city offers. Take a look at our digital “Destination Guide,” which is available to download from our website. Visitor-friendly businesses can also request printed copies of the Destination Guide for customers. Our courier will deliver them to your door!

In addition, the Convention and Visitors Bureau is always looking for new visitor-ready establishments and visitor friendly activities to feature on our website. For instance, check out our recent blog post on Things to Do in October in Fayetteville.

Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with happenings around town - and be on the lookout for the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau’s new brand, logo, and marketing campaign, which we are launching November 1.

Our team at the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau enjoys promoting the attractions and amenities our great city has to offer, supporting our tourism industry, and contributing to our city’s economic development. We look forward to helping you welcome guests to our city.
