The Greater Fayetteville Chamber announced their 2022 board nominations yesterday. In ten days, the final board will be sent out and finalized.
The nominees below were selected by the Chamber’s nomination committee. Once finalized, the selected candidates will begin their new roles in January 2022.
The Chamber’s bylaws allow for the Chamber membership to nominate additional people for the roles below. The bylaws state: “The membership of the Chamber shall have the opportunity of placing additional names in nomination by presenting at the Chamber office a petition of nominations signed by the main contact of at least ten (50) members in good standing of the Chamber. Such a petition must be filed within ten (10) days of the date of distribution of the Nominating Committee's report.”
Another section of the bylaws allows for the officers of the corporation to be elected annually by the Board of Directors at the December meeting of the Board of Directors.

Todd Kenthack, Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union
Todd Kenthack joined Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union in 2012 and has served as its President/CEO since 2016. He began his career in the credit union industry in 1989 at the New Jersey Credit Union League where he gained experience in the areas of finance, operations, compliance, and strategic planning. Prior to joining FBFCU, Todd served in several executive-level positions within the industry including 9 years as the President/CEO at Pacific Resource Credit Union in Los Angeles and 3 years as the SVP/CFO at Carolina Trust FCU in Myrtle Beach, SC. He has served as a board member of several organizations including the Boys and Girls Club in Carson, CA, and the United Way of Cumberland County. Todd received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. He also earned the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation after completing the 3-year CUES CEO Institute program in 1999.
Tracey Henderson, Henderson Firm
I am a United States Army Veteran and lawyer who is licensed in the State of North Carolina and in the State of Georgia. I have a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from The University of West Michigan (Thomas Cooley Law School).
I returned to Fayetteville in 2015 and opened my practice, The Henderson Firm. My primary focus is Family Law, but I also work in the areas of Immigration, Social Security, Guardianship (Incompetency), personal injury, and minor traffic offenses. I volunteer as an instructor in Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Continuing Education Department where I teach a class on Wills and Estate Planning twice each quarter. I volunteer for Legal Aid where I assess cases, give legal advice, and if needed legal representation, as a part of the Lawyer on the Line program. I volunteer on the City of Fayetteville’s Ethics Commission and I am an Appeals Hearing Officer for the City of Fayetteville. I am also a member of the Executive Board of the Cumberland County Bar Association and the President of the Cumberland County Association of Black Attorneys.
Although I am not a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, I have lived here for over twenty years. I received my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University, and I am a United States Army Veteran. After exiting the military, I purchased a home and decided to raise my family here and I am invested in the growth in this community.
Wesley Fountain, Fayetteville State University
Wesley Fountain is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Community Relations and Economic Partnerships at Fayetteville State University. In this role, he facilitates and guides a variety of organizational initiatives related to communications, public involvement, education, and community relations projects aimed at building community awareness and support for the university and its programs. Mr. Fountain also works with local and regional businesses and corporate leaders to establish stronger FSU economic partnerships and business ventures. He previously served as the Director of Constituent and Community Relations at Fayetteville State University, where he oversaw all federal, state, and local government relations for ten years.
Mr. Fountain currently serves on the City of Fayetteville’s Planning Commission, The Friendship House Community Advisory Board, and The Cool Springs Downtown District Executive Board. He is also an active member of the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club and the Fayetteville-Fort Bragg Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Winston Salem State University, a master’s degree in political science from Fayetteville State University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership.
