Businesses and job seekers in, around or interested in Moore County are invited to join some of the major workforce development organizations this Thursday, Oct. 23, for the return of the Moore County Career Expo & Resource Fair.

The Expo will be taking place from 11a.m. - 3 p.m. at The Fair Barn located at 200 Beulah Hill Road in South Pinehurst.

The NCWorks Career Center- Moore County is partnering with The Mid Carolina Workforce Development Board, Moore County Chamber of Commerce, Moore County Schools, Sandhills Community College and Moore County Economic Development Partnership as part of a collaborative effort.

“We look forward to everyone coming out. We invite all employers in the area and are targeting small businesses, but we also encourage large businesses from the surrounding areas to join us,” shared Moore County NCWorks Career Center Manager Regina Smalls. “We’re also looking for our job seekers to come out and support this event.”

Smalls shared that the community responded very positively to the event last year, and this year businesses are independently reaching out to get involved.

She also shared that the goal is to recruit at least 80 employers to participate as the event returns for its second year.

Registration for businesses is open until Oct. 20. Interested employers and job seekers can apply here.
