When we launched the Greater Fayetteville Business Journal, our mission was clear: to create a publication that informs, connects and celebrates the people and businesses driving growth across the Fayetteville region. Over the last five years, this mission has guided every story we publish, every Power Breakfast we host and every connection we help foster. Together with an incredible team, we’ve built something that belongs to the entire business community—a trusted source of insight and inspiration.

Today, I want to share an important update about the Journal’s future—and mine.
After much prayer, thought and planning, effective Jan.1, 2026, I am transitioning the day-to-day leadership of the Greater Fayetteville Business Journal to our talented internal team. They have the experience, energy and passion to continue delivering the in-depth reporting, engaging events and smart analysis you have come to expect. Our readers, advertisers and partners can be confident that the Journal will remain strong and vibrant, dedicated to covering the issues and opportunities shaping our regional economy.
While stepping back from daily operations, I will remain involved as a consultant to support the team and our advertisers/sponsors in order to ensure a smooth transition. My commitment to the Journal’s mission remains steadfast, and I look forward to seeing the new ideas and innovations our staff will bring forward.
At the same time, I am excited to embark on a new professional chapter—one that keeps me deeply connected to the growth of this region. I will be focusing on helping local business owners grow by helping them navigate ownership transitions. This work aligns perfectly with my passion for strengthening the economic foundation of Fayetteville and surrounding communities.

This is not a goodbye. It’s an evolution and a succession. The Journal will continue to shine as a platform for business news and dialogue, and Lord willing, I will continue working to help businesses expand, invest and succeed. Together, we can create opportunities that benefit not just individual companies, but the entire Fayetteville region.
Thank you for your trust, your readership and your partnership. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I’m even more excited about what lies ahead—for the Journal, for our business community and for all who call this area home.
Merry Christmas to you all, and may God bless you and yours!
