Moore County leaders to share strategies for turning early childhood data into action

By Staff Report, posted 3 weeks ago

The Moore County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Linda Parsons, President & CEO of the Chamber, and Stuart Mills, Executive Director of Partners for Children and Families, will participate in an upcoming national online seminar hosted by Afton Partners and All Children Thrive. The event, taking place on Thursday, May 1 at 2 p.m., will focus on turning early childhood education (ECE) data into meaningful, community-driven solutions.

Titled “Now What? From Data to Action in Early Childhood Education,” this online seminar brings together local leaders from across the country who have successfully transformed community needs assessments into actionable strategies that expand access to affordable, high-quality early childhood education.

“Our community has the data—we know where the gaps are in early childhood care and education,” said Parsons in a press release. “This webinar is about what comes next: how we take that knowledge and use it to create tangible improvements that support children, families, and our local workforce.  We are thrilled to be presenting for this national discussion to help other communities.”

Attendees will learn:

  • How to build compelling cases that mobilize community coalitions and partners
  • Practical methods for involving community members in strategy development
  • Structured planning approaches that lead to measurable improvements
  • Real-world solution themes from communities making tangible progress
  • Actionable next steps for local leaders

Who Should Attend:

  • Local government officials working on early childhood initiatives
  • Foundations and funders supporting early childhood programs
  • Community coalition leaders
  • Early childhood advocacy organizations
  • State administrators seeking effective local implementation

Both Parsons and Mills will share insights from Moore County’s collaborative approach, which combines cross-sector partnerships, strategic resourcing, and intentional planning to support working families and strengthen the local economy.

“This is a great opportunity to shine a light on the innovative work happening right here in Moore County,” said Mills in a press release. “We’re excited to be part of the conversation that’s helping communities nationwide move from identifying problems to implementing real solutions.”

The online seminar is presented by Afton Partners and All Children Thrive, two organizations dedicated to supporting local efforts that improve child well-being through data-informed planning and sustainable community change.
