The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Boykin Bridge Road near Clinton for several months beginning next week.
The road over Great Coharie Creek will be closed for a bridge replacement beginning July 7. The project is expected to be completed this winter. A detour will be available from Bass Lake Road, N.C. 24, Airport Road, West Main Street and Beulah Road.
Motorists should stay alert when traveling near the work zone and follow all posted signs.
