This morning, Sept. 6, Fayetteville State University hosted a ribbon cutting for the new Chick-fil-A located in Bronco Midtown at 1047 Murchison Rd.

At the event, FSU Chancellor Darrell T. Allison and other university and community leaders provided an update on the refreshed Bronco Midtown.

“In 2021, FSU announced one its affiliated entities owned 100% of what was then Bronco Square. A little over a year ago, we announced a vision renovating and rebranding as Bronco Midtown,” FSU Chancellor Darrell T. Allison said to the crowd. “How does the manifestation of that vision look today?” he asked as the crowd cheered.

The Fayetteville-Cumberland Regional Entrepreneur & Business HUB is another business located in Bronco Midtown. Since its opening in 2022, the HUB has provided extensive support to aspiring and established businesses in and around Fayetteville.

“By supporting local minority, women and veteran owned businesses, we helped create a more inclusive economy. We are delighted to report that the hub has gained tremendous traction since its inception. We have helped award $64 million in contracts. We've launched 90 new businesses. We’ve created and retained over 480 new jobs, and we’ve hosted over 8500 here at the hub,” shared Executive Director of the HUB Tamara Colvin at the event.

Chancellor Darrell Allison addressed the crowd of students, alumni, local leaders, community members and more who gathered to celebrate this great accomplishment.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg, because we got another $200 million of construction that's happening just on this campus, and about $500 million when we talk about the county alone. Seize the day. This is our time. It's not just about Fayetteville State University. It's about Fayetteville, it's about Cumberland, and I'm just so happy to be the 12th chancellor to do my part for this collective opportunity for our city and for our county,” shared Chancellor Allison.

Chick-fil-A is scheduled to officially open for service Monday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Normal operating hours for Bronco Midtown’s new restaurant are:

Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bronco Midtown is located directly adjacent to FSU’s campus at 1047 Murchison Rd.
