BJ’s Wholesale Club recently announced it will be opening a new location in Southern Pines next year. Today, Aug. 14, BJ’s held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of this new store.

“We're so excited that BJ’s Wholesale Club is opening its doors early next year, right here in Southern Pines, North Carolina. This will be our 10th club in the state of North Carolina,” shared Senior Manager of External Communications at BJs Briana Keene.

The new store is located in the new Morganton Park South shopping center. Across the street from Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods and HomeGoods, this location is expected to experience high levels of foot traffic.

The newest location will feature a wide assortment of fresh foods and produce, a full-service deli, seasonal items, home décor, electronics, apparel, and other everyday essentials that members have come to know and love from shopping at BJ’s Wholesale Club.

BJ’s offers its members several shopping options including in-club shopping, ship-to-home, same-day delivery, curbside pickup and in-club pickup. The new club in Southern Pines will also have a BJ’s Gas location on-site, offering members low fuel prices.

“We help our members save up to 25% off grocery store prices every day, so that value is huge for families. I'm a mom of two young children, so to find the everyday value and convenience at a club like BJ’s is really important for communities, and we feel this is a great community and a great fit for us, and we're just so glad that we're here and excited to be opening our doors soon,” added Keene.

BJ’s is driven by a purpose of “taking care of the families who depend on us” and is partnering with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Once the club is open, BJ’s will donate unsold produce, meat, dairy and more to the food bank every week to support the community.

Keene shared that they’ve begun hiring employees for the new location and are still looking for additional staff to work at the new location.

Individuals interested in browsing BJ’s selection or signing up for a membership prior to doors opening can go online to bjs.com/southernpines.
