Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra presents: The Snowman on Dec. 14 & 15

The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra (FSO) will present two performances of a holiday-themed family concert on Dec. 14- 15. The performance on Dec. 14, sponsored by Methodist University, will take place at Iron Mike Conference Center on Fort Liberty, and will begin at 2:00 p.m. (free admission, no ticket required). The performance on Dec. 15 will be held at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, and begins at 4:00 p.m.. Tickets are required for the performance on Dec. 15, and can be purchased online here or by calling the Cape Fear Botanical Garden at (910)-486-0221.

Join them for a weekend of holiday cheer as the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra performs two family concerts at Fort Liberty and the Cape Fear Botanical Garden! This program features a screening of the animated film The Snowman and a host of sing-along favorites audiences are sure to love. These performances are perfect for music lovers of all ages, so bring the whole family! Music Director Stefan Sanders added in a press release, “The holidays are our favorite time of year at the FSO. We love to share the gift of music with children and families, especially the heartwarming story of “The Snowman” by Raymond Briggs with musical score by Howard Blake. We hope you will join us for our family friendly holiday concerts this season. Don’t forget to bring your singing voices!”

The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1956 and is a professional orchestra whose mission is to educate, entertain, and inspire the citizens of Fayetteville, NC, and surrounding counties. Handel's “Water Music” Suite is the Symphony's second concert in their six-concert series this 2024-2025 season. The FSO also has many free events and performances.
