Crown Complex and Fayetteville Liberty announce opening night

The Fayetteville Liberty professional basketball team will officially tip off its inaugural season with a high-energy opening night matchup on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Crown Complex Arena against the Raleigh Firebirds. The event promises to be a landmark night for the city, combining professional basketball, live entertainment, community engagement and fan-focused experiences.

Game highlights include:

  • Fayetteville Liberty vs. Raleigh Firebirds season opener
  • Live performance by Petey Pablo
  • Special appearance by the Hoke County Marching Band
  • In-arena giveaways and fan experiences
  • Raise Up Swag Towels for the first 250 fans in attendance
  • Sponsor and partner activations throughout the concourse

Team leadership describes the opener as more than just a game.

“This is a historic moment for our organization and for Fayetteville,” said team ownership in a press release. “Opening Night represents months of preparation, partnership, and community collaboration. We’re inviting the entire region to come out, throw your hands up, raise up, and be part of Liberty history.”

The Fayetteville Liberty enters the season focused on competitive excellence, player development and community impact. The organization has built strong partnerships across local businesses, schools and civic institutions, aligning sports with service and opportunity throughout the region.
