Cool Spring Downtown District receives a Levitt Foundation Grant for Juneteenth, announces 2026 events calendar

By Staff Report, posted 3 hours ago

Cool Spring Downtown District (CSDD) has been selected as a 2026 Levitt Festival Grant recipient, which will support the 2026 Juneteenth Jubilee, held on June 19, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Festival Park. The Levitt Family Foundation supports more than 1,000 free outdoor concerts nationwide. This year’s festival grantees were selected from a pool of more than 600 applicants to receive grants of up to $5,000 and hail from over 30 states across the country. CSDD is honored to be a national recipient of this award and deeply grateful to the City of Fayetteville and its supporting partners.

On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, Cool Spring Downtown District curates and hosts the annual Juneteenth Jubilee, now in its fifth year.

“We are delighted to bring back this community celebration honoring Black American contributions to history, arts, and the overall fabric of American culture. Our goal is to provide a thoughtful, inclusive, educational, and joyfully entertaining event for all, focused on the history of the holiday, as well as promoting a spirit of unity and progress,” shared the CSDD team in a press release.

The Jubilee Planning Committee is excited to announce their headlining stage talent, once contracting is final. This year, they will be connecting the threads of the Black American experience from the past, the present and looking toward the future through the lens of cultural Afrofuturism.

Anyone interested in becoming a CSDD Annual Sponsor and contributing toward the 2026 Juneteenth Jubilee may contact Ashanti Bennett, President/CEO at ashanti@coolspringfay.org for more details.
