CAMEO Collective is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 Grassroots Arts Project (GAP) Grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County to support the Cameo Classic Film Series during the upcoming season at the historic Cameo Art House Theatre.
"This generous investment from the Arts Council allows us to continue preserving the shared experience of classic cinema while making these timeless films accessible to audiences throughout Cumberland County," said Artistic Director of CAMEO Collective Brian Adam Kline, in a press release. "Classic films are more than entertainment, they are art and an important part of our cultural history. This grant helps ensure that our community can continue gathering to experience these iconic films on the big screen, where they were meant to be seen."
The Grassroots Arts Project Grant will support the Cameo Classic Film Series throughout the 2026–2027 season, bringing audiences a diverse lineup of beloved cinematic masterpieces at the Cameo Art House Theatre in downtown Fayetteville.
The series will feature classic Hollywood favorites, anniversary screenings, internationally acclaimed films, cult classics, family favorites and special themed events designed to celebrate the history of cinema while fostering community engagement.
Grant funding helps offset programming costs, film licensing, marketing and audience development efforts, allowing CAMEO Collective to keep ticket prices affordable and expand access to arts and cultural programming. As a nonprofit organization, CAMEO Collective relies on grants, donations, memberships and community partnerships to continue offering unique film experiences that enrich the cultural life of Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
CAMEO Collective's GAP grant from the Arts Council will help support the entire Cameo Classic Film Series season, including monthly classic film screenings, anniversary presentations, filmmaker discussions, educational programming, special guest events, and themed community celebrations throughout the year.
Grassroots Arts Project Grants increase opportunities for access to arts, cultural, and historical programming in Cumberland County.
