Critical Path Solutions celebrates new office building in downtown Fayetteville

By Faith Hatton, posted 2 hours ago

A new chapter has begun for Fayetteville based general contractors Critical Path Solutions LLC.

On Tuesday, May 14, the CPS team gathered with the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and friends and family to celebrate the opening of their brand new office space located at 265 Gillespie St. in downtown Fayetteville.

The company made the jump from their previous address at 109 Gillespie St. due to a growing staff and a need to expand their work space. Co-Founders Delbert Soucier Jr. and Robert DeGaetano decided to purchase a new lot of land and got to work on their new building back in June of 2025. Just six months later, their new office building was complete.

The new two-story office was a labor of love for the team, featuring 13 office spaces, a conference room, break area and balcony with a view of downtown. With the decision to build a new building, they were able to design everything from the modern industrial style stairwell, to the soft open and close doors featured on the individual offices.

“This space had been for sale for quite some time, and we weren't sure why. One of the attractions was, there was a lot of infrastructure already here,” shared Soucier.  “We're still close to downtown, more parking for our employees and customers and clients. So we dug in, and Robert and I started the design in the kitchen, just drawing some little boxes and what we wanted.

We drew some 3D elevations with pen and paper, and went to town until we were settled on what we were doing. And then from there, we just kept tweaking and tweaking until what we have here. So it was kind of neat that Robert and I had full hands on ‘This is what we're doing. This is what we want. This is how it's going to look,’ and all the details.”

CPS is responsible for large scale projects in the community including the FCEDC’s new headquarters, the D-BAT Baseball & Softball Training Academy, the previous Clutch Coffee drive through in Fayetteville and more.

This is the second long term office space for the company which began back in 2019.

Soucier and DeGaetano started the company by moonlighting individual projects while the two were employed for another General Contracting company in Fayetteville. Soucier described their previous arrangements as “couch surfing” with the two getting creative on where they would set up shop to work on projects. Previous spaces included a restaurant and work trailer on a project site before they were able to move their team into their last location on Gillespie Street.

“The first big project that we did was the FBI Field Office here for GSA, and so that's really the one that allowed us to take off. We did that project with just a few staff members, and we were still growing at the time we did it, but that was prior to us having an office,’ recalled DeGaetano.

Since then the two have grown the business to include 18 staff members allowing them to increase the amount of projects and their service offerings. Staff moved into the new building back in December of 2025.

“As you know, parking also is like gold downtown. So our last building didn't have a lot of parking, we started running out of office space, and we found this lot down here. It was a great deal,” shared DeGaetano. “It's allowed us to increase our staff, we're more efficient in our services that we can provide. And when [clients] they come in, just seeing what we're capable of, we've had several people that have walked through here and said, ‘Oh, that's really cool. Can you do that in my building?’”

“I think, actually, I'm ready to build the next one,” shared Soucier. “ It came up in conversation a few weeks ago, we went to lunch with our banker, and I just spilled the beans that I was ready to build another building. We love doing it. This is what we do, we build cool offices. We can lease it. We can sell it. Who knows? The first one we were in for almost five years. This one, we start looking ahead five years, let’s move into the next one!”

Critical Path Solutions is open from Monday- Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Learn more about their team and projects at www.criticalpathsolutions.com
