The Golden LEAF Board recently awarded Robeson County a $1,075,000 grant through the Shell Building Pilot Program.
The grant is to be used for design, planning and construction of an 80,000-square-foot expandable shell building at COMtech Business Park, bringing the total Golden LEAF shell building funding for the project to $2,500,000.
COMtech Business Park is a 700 acre site within Robeson County that serves to attract people of various industries and gather them all in one centralized location. The Journal published a story on the development two years ago.
